American Heart Association – CPR Training Day

On August 11, 2014 our office completed the American Heart Association CPR training, a training which must be completed every two years to maintain certification. A big thank you to Marie Kirby, a Registered Nurse, for officiating our training. We were able to practice CPR on the dummies, but also received training on other important first aid techniques. We learned how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in an emergency situation and how to perform The Heimlich Maneuver on conscious choking adults and children. In addition, Marie taught us the protocol for performing these first aid techniques on an infant child.

The office as a whole enjoyed this opportunity to brush up on skills that may save someone’s life whether we are in the office, or out. Below are a few photos of the team practicing on the CPR dummies.
