Dental implants are one of the most exciting technologies in dentistry. In the past, missing teeth were often replaced with removable partial dentures. Dental implants, however, are a more permanent, non-removable solution for replacing missing teeth. At Stone Oak Aesthetic Dentistry, we can replace one tooth or an entire arch of teeth with dental implants!
There are multiple parts of a dental implant: the post, the abutment, and the restoration. The post, typically made of titanium, is the part that your cosmetic dentist actually implants into your jawbone. The abutment is the part of the dental implant that connects the restoration, or the crown, to the post.
If you’re missing teeth or are planning on having teeth removed, then it’s likely that dental implants are right for you. As long as you have enough jawbone to support the implant post, then dental implants are likely a great option for you!
Dental implants are a long-lasting, permanent solution for replacing missing teeth. The benefits of implants are almost endless, but we’re confident saying that the best reason for you to choose dental implants is the freedom and security that they have to offer. You don’t have to worry about uncomfortable dentures falling out or dealing with missing teeth. You can fully restore the appearance and function of your smile and live your life confidently and exactly the way you want.
This innovative, secure technology lets you truly take back your quality of life and live your life the way you want and deserve. Talk to your San Antonio cosmetic dentist at Stone Oak Aesthetic Dentistry about how dental implants can enhance your life!
At Stone Oak Aesthetic Dentistry, we offer dental implants to both functionally and aesthetically restore your smile. As such, we offer a few different types of implants to make sure you get the restoration you need and the beautiful smile you deserve.
Single dental implant
If you’re missing one tooth, you can always get a single dental implant. This is the longest-lasting solution to replacing a single tooth.
Multiple dental implants
If you’re missing multiple teeth, dental implants are the perfect, long-lasting, secure tooth replacement option.
Implant-retained denture
Another option you have is to opt for an implant-retained denture. This is a great option if you’re missing a whole arch, or a whole row of teeth.
Whether you’re missing a single tooth or need full mouth dental implants, we’ve got you covered!
Choosing dental implants means committing to a several month process. The first part of the process involved the actual implant surgery where in your dentist surgically places the posts into your jawbone. Once your dentist implants the post(s), you will have to let your bone heal entirely before we can continue to attach your restoration(s). This process can take between 6 weeks and 6 months, and the post itself will fuse to your jawbone. We will monitor your healing during this time to ensure that your bone is healing the way that it should and that we place your restorations in a timely manner.
Once your jaw is fully healed, we will place your crown or implant a retained denture according to your customized treatment plan. We’re confident that you’ll love your new smile!
Dental implants are one of the more costly procedures that we offer at Stone Oak Aesthetic Dentistry. However, most people who opt to get dental implants find that they’re absolutely worth the investment. An investment in dental implants is an investment in your self-confidence and your quality of life. With dental implants, you can truly live your life on your terms and in your own way!
Many insurance plans may cover the cost of implants. However, we do not bill insurance directly. We are happy to work with you on submitting a claim, but we do require payment in full at the time of service. Talk to our billing staff about your investment.
